Most wooden toys are made with northern hardwoods such as maple, birch, beech, or their oriental counterparts such as recycled rubberwood. These materials cannot ever contain toxic substances. Unfinished, lacquered, or varnished wood cannot have lead or toxic chemicals.

Turnertoys also sells painted wooden toys. We have gone to considerable trouble to be certain that none of our painted wooden toys have any toxic or unsafe materials in the paint finishes.
