The Whittle Shortline Railroad was created to provide
young railroaders with more recognizable and distinctively North American
wooden railway toys. Whittle Shortline rail cars actually look like the real trains that run on
America's railroads! Large diesel & steam engines have wheel trucks
just like the real thing. Whittle Shortline Trains are crafted with extra-strength magnetic couplers to pull long lines of train cars on almost any surface. Whittle Shortline Trains run on Maple Landmark, TC Timber, and most other wooden track systems. Due to their size, the largest cars and locomotives may have trouble on very tight short-radius curves. Cars are handmade of solid birch hardwood and hand painted and/or printed with durable child-safe paints and finishes. All train items are recommended for children ages 3 and up. |
