About once a month, we send out an email message to our customers, and to anyone who has contacted Turnertoys, unless they have asked to be removed from our mailing list.     If you have contacted us or purchased something from us, you may already be on one of our email lists. You can choose to receive only the kind of information you want. You can also tell us not ever to send any more email at all, but you will be missing some good stuff!

You can choose from one or more of the following mailing lists:
* Be the first to know about  new products and save money on special discount offers. Usually sent once a month, but occasionally much less often. If we have any new articles or photos, the mailing will include links to these.  [See a previous newsletter]

* Find out what's new at Flight Central, our flying model aircraft department, whether you are looking for that special advantage in your Science Olympiad competition, or just want to have fun with flying toys. (2 or 3 times per year, maybe less.)  

* Science Olympiad and other competitive events: Receive special announcements about new products, rules, and designs.   (as needed).

* Read original articles on 
Psychology [The Nature & Biology of Play and the Selection of the Right Toy], 
Health [Made in China: an issue of health & Safety],[ An Important Update on the safety of plastics and other materials, [Identifying Hazards in Toys, Finding Safe Toys ]
[Lifecycle of the Monarch Butterfly], 
and whatever else we find interesting enough to write about. 
See photos from our 4-season hikes in the Green  Mountains (Vermont) and the White Mountains (New Hampshire).  (2 to 3 times per year.) In these mailings, there is very little commercial content.  Sort of like a magazine.  See previous newsletters [2004 Fall Foliage], [Climbing Maine's Mt Katahdin in Baxter State Park (August 2004],  and other content we have included in newsletters

* Get all of these (General Interest)  - whatever we have to tell you about - in a single infrequent, occasional mailing. 

We do not share our email lists with anyone, and we require only an accurate email address to add you to our list - name, zip, etc. are optional.

 Making sure you get all your email:

Due to the flood of "spam" we all get, internet service providers (ISP's) use various screens and blockers to help their customers (such as yourself) to deal with this nuisance. Sometimes, server addresses that are identified as sending bulk email are blocked. We use the service of Constant Contact, an ethical and reputable bulk email provider. Constant Contact does not permit its clients (such as Turnertoys) to send email to recipients unless we have some sort of relationship with them: previous customers, correspondents who have indicated that it's OK, or, best of all, people who decide to sign up using the form on this page. The best way to be sure you will receive our occasional messages is to sign up using the form on this page. ISP's regard a mailing list acquired in this manner as "confirmed" (you will receive an email asking you to confirm your decision), and will not block our messages. Another method that works with AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, and some others is to put our "from" address, ed@turnertoys.com, in your email address book (Outlook Express, etc).
