We prefer that you order online. You
will see the total charges for each shipping option, and get a quick email
confirmation. Turnertoys is protected against loss of private data by
Scanalert. If you cannot order online, you can order on turnertoys.com
without sending your credit card data over the internet. Use the
shopping cart as described below, entering all information as requested. When you get to the final screen,
asking for address and credit card info, fill it out completely, PRINT IT (<ctrl+P,
<enter>), and mail or fax it to us
using the address on that page.
Or just CALL US at 800-955-4097
and place your order.
(Of course, we DO prefer you use the shopping cart. It saves us a great deal of work.)
You can order on turnertoys.com
without using a credit card at all. Just enclose a check with the completed and printed order form.
If you have any trouble at all placing your order
("Page not found" or anything else except fast completion and a
"Thank You" message), CALL US at 800-955-4097
or send email to contact@turnertoys.com
. If
you get an answering machine, leave a message with your phone
number(s) and a suggested time to call. We will call you
and take your order
You can order a product from many places on turnertoys.com. Just
click on the button next to the
item you want. You will then find yourself in the "Shopping
Cart". This is where you indicate how many of each item you
want to buy. You can also cancel an item by putting a
zero in the quantity box.
If you want just the one item, fill in or check
the required fields, choose a shipping method, and press the button on
the right at the bottom of the page to continue. You will then be asked
for address and credit card information. The information you
supply is encrypted (secret) and posted to a separate secure file, which
is only accessible with a password. We do not share this
information with anyone (except our bank, of course) for any reason.
If you want to continue shopping, to buy more than one product,
"uncheck" by clicking the little box halfway down the shopping
cart which says
"Return me to shopping cart every time I place an
order".
You DON'T want to return until you are finished
selecting products.
Then click on the the BACK BUTTON at the upper left of the browser
window. You
will return to the last page you ordered from. From
there, you can click on more order buttons, or go to any
place on turnertoys.com for
more complete information. When you have selected everything you want,
click on any
button (you can find it somewhere, large or small, on any page where you
buy our toys). Now you are back in the shopping cart. If everything
is correct, select a shipping method (see below) and click on the
button at the bottom of the page on the right:
"Checkout: enter payment and shipping info".
Selecting a shipping method
In the shopping cart, just above the grand total for your purchase
plus shipping, you will see a list of 4 choices for shipping your order: UPS
Ground, Priority Mail, UPS 2 day, and
UPS
next day. Select the cheapest method,
unless you are in a hurry to get your order. Priority Mail will
usually get almost anywhere in the USA in 1 to 3 days, depending on
distance. UPS Ground will take 1 to 2 days to New England
and New York, 5 to 10 days to the West Coast, 4 to 7 days to Florida, and
varies proportionately to other parts of the continental US. For
more transit time information, click on "BEFORE YOU CONTINUE" in
the shopping cart, or any link to delivery and product availability
throughout the website. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and other US Zip codes outside the lower 48
states must go via Priority Mail, or UPS 1-day or 2-day
Air. APO/FPO can only be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. NOTE: Ups
shipments can be tracked much more easily than Priority Mail.

Basic WebSurfing Tips
Getting around on the page
Most pages are larger than what you can see at one time. Use the SCROLL
BAR on the right edge of the window to move up and down the
page. Many pages on turnertoys.com
are actually 2 pages at one time, so you have 2 independent scroll bars
to view each page.
You
can also use the up-down arrows, and the <page-up> & <page-down> keys.
Use the <up> or <down> arrows on the keyboard to move the page up or down a short distance. You can make bigger jumps by pressing the <Page
up> or <Page down> keys. Get all the way to the top or bottom at one jump
by holding down the <ctrl> key and pressing <home> or <end>.
You
can also use the mouse and the scroll bar,
which is at the right edge of the window you are in . Place the mouse pointer on the
button on the scroll bar, hold down the left mouse button, and move the mouse (and
pointer) up and down. Or you can place the pointer on the scroll bar above or below
the button and click the left button. This is the same as Page up or Page down.
Finally, use the mouse with the up or down arrows at top or bottom of the
scroll bar.

Set preferences to enable Javascript. You probably don't actually
need to do anything about this unless your browser is returning a
specific error message on our pages. If that happens:
Microsoft Internet Explorer: Click on "Tools"; click
"Internet Options"; Click "Security" tab at top of
dialogue box; Click button that says "Custom Level"; scroll down
to "Active Scripting", and select "Enable"
(suggestion - set "ActiveX - marked safe" or "signed scripts" to
"Prompt", "unsigned" or "Not Safe" to
"Prompt" or "disable"); Click "OK"; Click
"OK" ;
Netscape: No adjustment should be necessary.
Get the latest browser!!
They are free for the downloading from the Microsoft or Netscape
websites. DON'T use AOL's embedded web browser. Get the
latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) or Netscape
Navigator and use it along with your dial-up (internet provider) software. We recommend (we hate to say it) Microsoft
Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher. Websites can do more when
viewed with MSIE. Go get it (free download takes about 1 hour, or you
can have the CD sent to you for $6.95. Requires credit card.)

When you are finished, we do hope you will come back and buy some
toys!
Finding addresses on the World Wide Web:
You can reach any page on the Web by clicking on the link for that
page. Links are shown as underlined text or pictures with borders. You know
if it's a link because your mouse pointer turns into a hand with a pointing finger when it
is placed on the link. You should set your browser preferences so that links are
always shown as underlined.
Watch the STATUS BAR in the lower left corner. It may
contain some useful information about what you'll see when you click on
the hyperlink. turnertoys.com
uses status bar messages frequently.
To go back to a page you visited during the same session, you can click on the "back" arrow at the top of your screen.
Or - use the HISTORY SELECTION BOX by clicking on the arrow-button at
the right of the white address (location) bar. You can select a
previously visited address.
Some of the pages on www.turnertoys.com
have "back-buttons" on the page itself. They will take
you to the most recent spot before you got to where you are; this may be
on the same page.
Sometimes you don't have a hyperlink, and you have to type an address into the address bar at the top of the page.
It
is the white bar at top which says (for this page) http://www.turnertoys.com/WebHelp.htm. This web address
is called a URL. You can type in
any valid URL, hit enter , and the page will appear.
