The Skaneateles Handicrafters (later known as T.C.
Timber) designed and made the original American Wood Toy Trains in
1936. Wooden toy trains by T.C. Timber have brought fun and creativity to generations of
children. TC Timber
Wooden Toys Trains are still all wood - no plastic parts except for the
wheels - unlike
other brands such as Brio and Thomas. In the 1980's, T. C. Timber was
purchased by the German toy company Habermaass, who makes Haba toys. We offer 4 wooden toy train
sets and an assortment of add-on track layout accessories for creative train layouts at greatly reduced prices. All our trains & train sets & most of the accessories are the original wooden toys made by TC Timber in Skaneateles, New York, USA. A few of the add-on track and trains were made in Germany by Haba from beech or rock maple with the same design and quality as the original TC Timber products. TC Timber Trains will run on track from Brio, Thomas, and other brands; however, the various brands of track may not hook together easily. These are the last of the original TC Timber Wooden Train Sets (except perhaps as collectors' items on Ebay). THESE ARE CLOSE-OUTS. REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
