The Titan after an hour of mud, snow, head-on crashes
FLIES UP TO 300 FEET (read more) with #378 high-energy replacement motor  (recommended)

The Titan  rubber-powered airplane solves the technical problems of wind-up balsa models.  It is nearly weatherproof and crash-proof, and has adjustable trim surfaces to control flight pattern.
Innovative free-wheeling propeller reduces air resistance after motor unwinds for longer glides.

** 20.25" Wingspan - 19" Long
** Lighweight spring steel frame can be bent slightly to
control climb and direction of flight.
** Plastic & spring steel construction survives crashes,
    puddles, mud.
** Wing releases on impact to prevent damage.
** Brass bearings allow free prop rotation, more power.
** Rubber motor can be wound up to 250
turns for speed  and power, is easy to replace.
** Includes special Flight Central instructions for
replacing motor with our #378 competition rubber for
    longer flights
** Made in Germany

Flying the Titan
We first flew our Titan on the High School soccer field, amidst mud puddles and a foot of slushy snow. With some experimenting and careful adjustment of the stabilizer and rudder, we got some 100-foot-plus flights, and some graceful spiral flights.

We had one full speed head-on crash into the brick school wall.  The wing disengaged, we put it back on, and it flew as good as new.

Finally, we overwound the motor and it broke. We went home and replaced it with a triple loop of our high energy #378 competition rubber.  (Your Titan will include special instructions for flying and replacing the motor.)

Spring-loaded propeller
disengages when motor unwinds
 to reduce drag during glide.
Cone & disc thrust bearings
provide friction-free rotation
for more power.
After the field had dried a bit, we went back with our high-power motor and one of the winders specially designed for the Titan (shown at right). We got some high-speed, high power flights of up to 300 feet, maybe even more!

As the photo above shows, the Titan is none the worse for wear. We expect to have fun with it for a long time.
