   The Freebird flapping wing model ornithopter kit was specifically designed for beginners. It is easy to build, with pre-formed crank, clear step-by-step instructions, and more. Can be built in just 2 or 3 hours - ideal for classrom or one-evening family projects.
   All you need is white glue, scissors, and a pair of needle-nose pliers. No hobby knife is needed, making it ideal for classroom use. Qualifies for Science Olympiad.

The Freebird is an Ornithopter, a mechanical device that flies by flapping its wings like a bird.
Freebird is very stable and easy to operate. It has light-weight balsa wood construction, yet it will bounce off walls with no damage. Flights up to one minute can be achieved with the included rubber band motor. Tail is adjustable for rate of climb and direction. Built-in hand crank makes winding easy.
