As you probably know, AOL users are the largest single group surfing the Web! But the Browser that comes with your AOL subscription often does not show web pages the way they were designed to be seen. As a result, you may find many sites hard or impossible to navigate.
If you find yourself clicking on links that don't seem to work, or if you see windows appear that are then hidden behind other windows, try the following. You may find that the websites you visit load faster and behave and look much better!   Try it now! It will only take a minute or two.
Follow these simple instructions.  We suggest you print this page (windows: <ctrl+p>,  <enter>) so you can refer to it while you work.
1. Because you are on the internet and looking at our page, we assume you are signed on to AOL right now, and have already clicked on the "web" icon and navigated to our website.
While you are still on-line, click on the icon at the top right of your AOL Browser window to minimize (pop down) the AOL window.  Make sure you have your cursor in the correct window.
You may also need to pop down the AOL window itself.  Unless you have other programs running (it is better if you don't), you should see a clean desktop. You will still be connected to the internet via AOL.  You may see small icons at the bottom of your screen (sometimes elsewhere on screen) showing that AOL is still working.
2. If you are on a PC computer with a Microsoft Windows operating system, you almost certainly have a copy of the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (MSIE) already installed.
Look on your desktop for this icon:
(You may need to look among your program files.  If so, click on "Start", then "Programs".)  Click on the MSIE icon to activate an independent or stand-alone copy of the browser.  You may need to click just once, or to double-click. Make sure, after it loads, that it is maximized.  (Click on center "square" if it is showing, as shown in the illustration above.)

3. Now... you are still connected to the internet. Type an address into the MSIE browser address bar (just as you would with the AOL browser). Try        http://www.turnertoys.com

4. You are now on the web, free and unencumbered.  You can make bookmarks for sites you like by clicking on "Favorites" at the top of the screen.   And you can return to AOL at any time by clicking on its icon at the bottom of the screen. Enjoy!!
